For Bayab sustainability is not a buzzword, our gin is created in our fully solar powered distillery and we ensure that our raw products, which are acquired for the production of our spirits, are procured from suppliers who are both sustainable, environmentally responsible, and organic.
Fermentation Process - the water used in this process is recycled water obtained from the distillation process. Our distillery is fully solar powered and produces enough energy to give energy back to the grid, helping to power the local townships
We have partnered with Ho Technical University, Ghana, to preserve Africa’s legendary Baobab tree.If you’ve never heard of the Baobab tree, you would have seen Rafiki sitting in it , in the film, The Lion King. This sacred tree not only inspired the name of our gin ‘Bayab’, but its fruit is the core botanical at the heart of our award winning gins.
The Baobab Tree is central to Bayab’s story, which is why we have partnered with Ho Technical University, joining like minded partners to fund the Baobab research and regeneration project.
This project aims to accelerate the Baobab tree’s growth process, improve the cultivation of the tree and ultimately protect Baobabs from the eradication they face as the baobab fruit grows in popularity.
We ensure that our raw products, which are acquired for the production of our spirits, are procured from suppliers who are bothsustainable, environmentally responsible, and organic.
Bayab disposes of waste through certified and accredited recycling/disposal suppliers, which are regularly evaluated.
